 Who is a Candidate? 

Those patients who have a relatively small chain can be helped with a Chin implant, the Chin can be either retrusive or just too a small in comparison to the rest of the face. Sometimes, even asymmetry can be corrected with an appropriate Chin implant.

How Long Does the Surgery Take?
The procedure takes approximately from one hour to one hour and a half. 

Recovery Time

Physical recovery is quite quick, and most of the daily activities can practically be continued the next day. Some swelling and bruising is expected, but does not prevent the patient from working or performing other activities.
 
How Long Does the Result Last?
Results of this procedure are permanent.

Is it Painful?

This is not a very painful procedure, although some pain and discomfort is expected, for the first 2 or 3 days which is easily controlled by pain medication.

Complications

Potential complications of infection, scarring, bleeding, extrusion and asymmetry can be avoided with a careful evaluation and execution of the surgery.
